Fenner Nature Center invites everyone to come and explore some of the natural and cultural history surrounding Michigan’s own “liquid gold” at the annual Maple Syrup Festival held on March 15th. The festival offers numerous fun and educational demonstrations and activities for the whole family.
Spend the day exploring how sap is turned into sweet treats like syrup, maple crème, and candy. While at the festival, visitors can support Fenner Conservancy, the non-profit that now manages the nature center, by purchasing a ticket for “Flapjacks for Fenner!” Visitors will have to beware of flying flapjacks as “Chris Cakes” serves them up with their unique serving style.
Tickets are $7 in advance and $8 at the door and include All-You-Can-Eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee.
Fenner’s famous maple cotton candy will be whipped up on the spot and the Fenner Explore Store will also be open during the event.
For additional information, contact Fenner Nature Center at 517-483-4224 or [email protected].
