Planetarium
"LCC Planetarium programs are available free of charge to schools, scouts, and other groups. Programs are presented on Fridays during the school year and are usually about an hour long. The Planetarium is used to observe the night sky, noting the motions of the Sun, the Moon, the planets and the stars. Images of these celestial objects compare and contrast their characteristics. Programs are based on the Grade Level Content Expectations as developed by the Michigan Department of Education. Special, custom-made programs can be designed to accommodate the needs of any group with advanced notice. Please call the Science Department at 517-483-1092 for more information or to schedule a program date. Feel free to contact Teresa Schulz, the Planetarium Director, at 517-483-1195 to discuss special program requests. "
Cafe Scientifique
The LCC Cafe Scientifique is an outreach program of the LCC Science Department. If offers the public an opportunity to "chat with a scientist about an interesting and/or controversial science topic." Visit the website for a current schedule of events.
