Bad Astronomy is produced by the Detroit Science Center in collaboration with Cranbrook Institute of Science and narrated by WJR-AM's radio personality Rachel Nevada. 46 minutes.

Parking
PARKING:
Parking can be difficult on the MSU campus on weekdays. It takes some advance planning to guarantee a parking spot!!!
Option #1 - In front of the Planetarium. (6 spaces only)
Option #2 - Visitor parking behind the Planetarium in Shaw Ramp 1.
Option #3 - Visitor parking in Ramp 3 by the Wharton center. (Many spaces)

Option #1 - In front of the Planetarium. (6 spaces only)
- There is **no** parking in the lot 41 in front of the planetarium. That lot is for faculty and staff only.
- We have 6 spaces by the curb in front of the planetarium. We will give passes for those spaces on a first come basis.
Option #2 - Visitor parking behind the Planetarium in Shaw Ramp 1.
- Meters (6 spaces)
- You will need coins to pay for metered spots.
- Time limits apply as noted on the meter.
- There are only a few metered spots and they fill up quickly.
- You will need coins to pay for metered spots.
- Non-Metered Spots (Many spaces)
- To park in these spots you will need a Visitor's Pass.
- These can be purchased at the Department of Police and Public Safety (DPPS) office 24/7.
- DPPS are located at 1120 Red Cedar Rd, East Lansing, MI 48824 (map)
- You can buy several passes at once to use for the entire year.
- The 2 hour passes are $1.50.
Option #3 - Visitor parking in Ramp 3 by the Wharton center. (Many spaces)
- Paid Parking.
- The cost is $0.80 per half hour.
- When exiting the lot, a booth attendant will accept cash payment for the time parked.
- Credit/debit card payments are NOT accepted.
