The 4‐H Expo is a family event to learn about the vast number of opportunities that 4‐H has to offer youth in the Mid‐Michigan area. The event will be filled with hands on activities; staff and volunteers
will be available to talk to your family about joining 4‐H.

Shooting Sports Demonstration 12:30-4:30
Did the “Hunger Games” intrigue your child to explore archery? Curious how sport shooting can help your child develop life skills? Check out this demonstration led by 4-H teens and certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors to learn how your family become involved in the sport. Youth will have the opportunity to shoot a bow and bbgun.
Dog Show & Go 1:00-3:00
Your family pet has the potential to teach your child life lessons they can’t find a classroom. There will be a special demonstration area set up for the dog show & go, where youth may bring their dog and practice a showmanship and/or obedience pattern with a “judge”. Each participant will receive feedback on how they can improve. (All dogs must be on a leash; any dogs showing signs of aggression will be asked to leave the building).
Tech Xcite 12:30-4:30
Discover your inner scientist through fun, hands-on activities that will challenge your mind and creativity. Help 4-H create one million new scientists, as we aim to spark the interest of youth in careers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.
Pork Quality Assurance Training 3:00
The goals of the Pork Quality Assurance program are to provide a safe, healthy, wholesome pork product to consumers through educating youth producers to use farm management practices that ensure food safety and animal well-being. Exhibitors in the swine project at the Ingham County Fair are require to have a current PQA certification number prior to fair entry.
Animals 12:30-4:30
The average American is 4-generations removed from the farm. Come see some of the animals that youth have the opportunity to learn about in 4-H clubs.
Arts & Crafts 12:30-4:00
Express yourself!!! Visit the arts & crafts table to create your masterpiece. Display it during the event for everyone to see, but don’t forget to take it home with you.
Games 12:30-3:00
Healthy living is a 4-H must! Stop by and play some games
with us; it will be so much fun you won’t even realize its good for
you.
