Lansing will celebrate culture, diversity and family fun with the Riverbank Traditional Powwow taking place Saturday and Sunday, May 30th and May 31st 2015, on the west side of Louis Adado Riverfront Park in downtown Lansing.
Activities will feature authentic Native American singing, drumming, dancing, crafts, foods, raffles, and a children’s area with games, storytelling and crafts. There will be a special day for school children. Stay tuned by following the event on Facebook.
Admission is FREE and open to the public.

The event will be held at Adado Riverfront Park (west) from 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29th and will end at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31st.
Overnight Camping has been allowed in the park for vendors and Native American Arts and Crafts Council and Invited Guests. Ceremonial Fire Approved.
Vendors will open on Friday at 12:00 noon, 11 a.m. on Saturday and 10:00 on Sunday.
Grand Entries (entries of Native American dancers and drummers) will take place at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th, and at 12:00 noon on Sunday, May 31st.
Sponsors include: The Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, Lansing Community College, City of Lansing, Ingham County Hotel/Motel Fund, MSU American Indian Studies, and the Native American Arts and Crafts Council.
